Le Su-17UM3 b-n 88 était une ancienne machine du 730.APIB qui portait une petite silhouette de rhinoceros à la base de la dérive (a-t-elle été appliquée au sein du 730.APIB, la question reste ouverte). Si cet emblème a ensuite disparu, ce surprenant nose art "Red Tiger Fitter-G" a par contre été ajouté. Le chiffre 3 indiquait l'affectation de l'appareil au 3.AE. De toute évidence, une autre décoration plus en avant sur le nez avait été masquée. Des traces de fumée recouvraient le fuselage près de l'unique canon NR-30 de 30mm qu'emportait la version biplace du Su-17.

The Su-17UM3 b-n 88 was a former aircraft of the 730.APIB, decorated with a small rhinoceros silhouette on the vertical tail (was it painted when the aircraft was still with the 730.APIB remains an open question). This emblem was finally overpainted, but this surprising nose art "Red Tiger Fitter-G" appeared later on the right side of the nose. The digit n°3 indicated that the aircraft belonged to the third AE. Another badge on the nose had obviously been covered with paint. The two-seater version of the Su-17 was armed with a single NR-30 30mm gun on the right side only, which left smoke traces on the fuselage when it was used.
